So this is lindseybechtold.net; what’s all this about “Kay?”

Well, my nickname is “Kay.” Everyone except my family calls me “Kay.” So where does Kay come from? A valid question! My middle name is “Kaye” and about halfway through high school, I decided that I wanted to switch things up and start introducing myself as “Kaye.” It stuck. However, no one can ever remember the silent “e” at the end, so I ended up dropping it for the spelling of my nickname. I decided on “lindseybechtold.net” to avoid any confusion as I begin to make my way in the professional world; however, I may have just made it all the more confusing.

In case you were wondering, I answer to either “Lindsey” or “Kay.”

About Kay

I am a recent graduate of the University of Mary Washington. I have a B.A. in English with a concentration in creative writing. During my time at UMW, I focused on writing fiction and also completed several courses that centered on New Media. Much of the work in this portfolio comes from one particular class, Writing through Media.

I am on the verge of the rest of my life. I am currently writing a fantasy fiction novel and am looking into jousting school so that I can be a knight as a weekend job. More than anything, I’m excited about the future and all of its potential.
